Lufthansa strengthens operations in the Balkans

Increases in double figures on all air connections in the region

The German aviation group Lufthansa has communicated the flight schedule for the Winter season (from 29 October 2023 to 30 March 2024) which provides for the maintenance of air connections from the German airports of Frankfurt (to Belgrade, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Skopje and Sarajevo ) and Munich (for Belgrade, Zagreb and Ljubljana), with the strengthening of the transport service on all routes.

According to the German airline's schedule, 575 flights will be operated to Belgrade (Serbia) in the Winter season (+13.9% compared to the Winter 2022 season) with departures from the airports of Frankfurt and Munich for a total of 88,692 seats each way (+ 29.4%). Another 484 flights (+37.9%) are scheduled for Zagreb (Croatia) for a total of 47,916 seats each way (+39.9%).

To Ljubljana (Slovenia) it will operate double daily flights from Frankfurt and daily flights from Munich for a total of 450 connections (+16.9%) with 44,940 seats available (+23.1%). Flights to Skopje (Macedonia) will instead be 217 for a total of 36,456 seats on sale each way. Another 154 (+25%) will be carried out between Frankfurt and Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) with 21,252 bookable seats (+19% compared to last year). The program, in the initial phase, can be modified.
