The Mil Mi-26 T2V helicopter sports a new engine, modernized electronics, advanced avionics, latest generation radio and satellite communication systems, state-of-the-art navigation systems, improved ergonomics and an improved piloting infrastructure.

The Mil Mi-26 in its basic version made its first flight on 14 December 1977, while its entry into service dates back to 1983. It has an empty weight of over 28 tons. It is equipped with two Ivchenko/Zaporozhye D-136 turbo engines with a range of 800 km. Its transport capacity is huge: 85 soldiers, 70 paratroopers or 20 tons of goods.
