Brindisi Airport: restrictions in view of the G7

The official dinner in the Castello Svevo is also scheduled for June 13th

Ban on transit and parking in areas near the international Italian airport in Brindisi during the days of the G7 Summit. This is what is provided by five ordinances issued today by the Apulian municipality. The documents provide for a series of restrictions in the period from 13 to 15 June 2024, during which the events with the heads of state of the seven countries will take place.

One of the five municipality ordinances specifically concerns bans in the areas surrounding the Salento airport: from 07:00 on 11 June until 13:00 on 16 June there will be "a ban on transit and parking on the road leading to the Church of Santa Maria del Casale, of the stretch of road with access from via Contrada Baroncino between the two car parks Bms P8 and Saba P9" adjacent to the stopover.

The city will be interested in the summit above all due to the presence of the airport, functional to the arrival of some of the world leaders with their delegations. Furthermore, Brindisi will host the official dinner in the Castello Svevo on 13 June in the presence, among others, of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
