For extensive runway refurbishment works, from January 19 to March 1st, 2026

Gesac (Naples-Capodichino Airport management company) informs that its infrastructures undergo regular and periodic maintenance works, both ordinary and extraordinary, in compliance with stringent industry regulations and in line with the operator’s primary commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards. In this regard, "As already communicated to the institutions", a statement reports it, "in accordance with the 2023-2026 four-year intervention plan, from January 19, 2026, to March 1, 2026, the runway at Naples Airport will undergo extensive refurbishment works that will require the closure of the airport for 42 days. The intervention has been scheduled during the period of the year historically characterized by the lowest air traffic in order to minimize inconvenience for users".

The statement concludes: "Airlines, duly informed, will revise their flight schedules based on their operational and commercial strategies. Salerno-Costa d’Amalfi Airport, within the framework of a regional airport system, will be able to absorb part of the traffic normally handled by the Naples airport, respecting the capacity limits established by ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) and based on the slot requests received".
