"DSEI Japan 2025". Embraer participates with KC-390 airplane

The "Millennium" is the aircraft operating in countries in the world and in Europe

Embraer participates in "DSEI Japan" in Chiba City from May 21 to 23, with the KC-390 "Millennium", the advanced multi-mission medium airlift and tanker, as the highlight of its defense and security solutions portfolio at the exhibition (Booth H8-480).

Its KC-390 "Millennium" is quickly becoming the aircraft of choice in countries around the world including Europe, contributing to the modernization of their armed forces. The airplane is already in operation with Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, and has been ordered by South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, and Czech Republic; it was recently selected by Sweden and Slovakia for their national defense needs and the growing number of its operators, including NATO Nations.

The airplane is the most advanced in its class and flies faster (470kts). It also carries more cargo (26 tons) compared to other medium sized military cargo aircraft. It is powered by IAE V2500 engines to operate from short, unpaved, and damaged runways, make it ideal for supporting operations in remote areas and disaster zones with limited infrastructure.

The airplane can perform a wide range of missions such as transporting and air-dropping cargo and troops, aeromedical evacuation, search and rescue (SAR), humanitarian aid and disaster relief (HADR) missions and firefighting. In addition, the "Millennium" can support extended maritime surveillance and SAR operations, with AAR enhancing their reach and on-station time. Its ability to operate from shorter runways and refuel other aircraft is critical for supporting Japan’s defense requirements.

Embraer’s aircraft are operated by several defense forces in Asia Pacific, including India, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. South Korea will be receiving its plane in the near future.

In the last two decades, the industry has designed, manufactured, certified, and delivered into service, 21 different aircraft platforms.

Its participation in "DSEI Japan" highlights its long-term vision for the Japanese market and its dedication to delivering modern aerospace solutions that benefit the nation and the broader region.
