Aeroporti di Puglia: Volotea Bari-Bordeaux connection

Departure tomorrow Saturday, May 31, twice a week

Volotea officially inaugurates tomorrow, Saturday, May 31, its new international air connection between Bari and Bordeaux. The route marks an important step forward in connectivity between Southern Italy and France. In fact, the connection is available with two weekly frequencies – every Tuesday and Saturday.

“Our airports are experiencing a season marked by an extraordinary phase of growth, especially regarding international connections", declared the president of Aeroporti di Puglia (AdP), Antonio Maria Vasile. “The result of careful and thoughtful planning, shared with the Puglia Region, which has identified and enhanced incoming flows that in recent years have stood out for their appeal and attractiveness capacity; Bordeaux, and more generally the French market, which has now become one of the foremost for the Puglian tourism industry, fully fall within those we monitor closely. The rest was achieved through a strong commercial understanding with Volotea, synergy with the territory, and our determination in continuing network development activities and upgrading our infrastructure. An effort rewarded by the opening of new destinations and, perhaps more importantly, by excellent increases in passenger traffic. We therefore welcome with great satisfaction the launch of the new flight which, we are confident, will meet the growing demand for connections coming both from foreign markets and domestic ones".

Among this year’s novelties in Bari’s network is also the Summer connection to Cephalonia, starting in July, which will enrich an offering strongly oriented towards internationalization, designed to connect Southern Italy with the rest of Europe. For 2025, there are 14 destinations served from Bari airport: one in Italy (Olbia), two in Croatia (Dubrovnik and Split); two in France (Bordeaux and Lyon); eight in Greece (Athens, Cephalonia, Corfu, Heraklion, Mykonos, Preveza, Santorini, Zante); and one in Spain (Bilbao).
