RUSSIA: LAUCHED THE AMERICAN SATELLITE PANAMSAT 10

BAIKONUR, KAZAKHSTAN, The American satellite PanAmSat 10, designed and built by Boeing, has been lauched into orbit today from the Russian Baikonur space settlement, in Kazakhstan, aboard a Russian built rocket. The satellite, which has 48 transponders, will provide television and direct Internet access to private users in Europe, the Middle East and southern Africa.
