A new Hilton hotel will be built, connected to Milan-Linate airport

The building is part of a larger urban regeneration project of the area

Milan-Linate airport will soon be receiving a new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. The construction of the four-star hotel, part of the urban regeneration and enhancement project of the Linate Airport District (Lad), is currently awaiting approval from the airport operator SEA and Enac (Italian civil aviation authority). The opening is scheduled for the first half of 2028.

The hotel will be directly accessible from the terminals and will be located near the M4 metro line, in a strategic position designed to strengthen the airport's operations. It will feature 216 rooms, including 9 suites, conference spaces, an all-day dining restaurant, a fitness center, and lounge areas for both business and leisure travelers. The entire project also includes the creation of new public plazas and large green spaces of approximately 14,000 square meters, designed as relaxation and social spaces, in harmony with the Idroscalo. This development will also include a business district of approximately 25,000 square meters, housing the airport operator's new headquarters.

Armando Brunini, ceo of SEA, commented on the project: "The DoubleTree by Hilton project within the Linate Airport District reflects our vision of an airport increasingly integrated with the city. It's not just a transport infrastructure, but a modern and sustainable urban hub, capable of offering high-level services to passengers, businesses, and residents. This project will help make Milan-Linate even more attractive and competitive".
