Airbus and Atitech: maintenance services for military aircraft

The industries have signed a collaboration agreement

Airbus Defence and Space and the Italian company Atitech have signed a General Terms Agreement (GTA) that establishes a framework for strategic cooperation for the provision of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services on Airbus military aircraft.

This agreement reinforces Airbus Defence and Space’s objective of consolidating the service supply chain within the European defence ecosystem, in a context of geopolitical uncertainty. The commitment to industrial collaboration aims to ensure the long-term operational availability of Airbus customers’ fleets.

The agreement was signed by Felipe Steinmetz, Head of Commodity and Project Supply Manager Services at Airbus Defence and Space, and by Gianni Lettieri, president and CEO of Atitech, during the MRo Europe conference held last week (14-15 October) in London.

Under this new strategic contract, Atitech, which already provides MRO services for Airbus commercial aircraft from its bases in Naples and Rome, will now extend its expertise to the military sector as well.
