Aviogei (2): strategic GSE for Defense and Global Aeronautical Programs

From F-35 aircraft maintenance to NATO Logistics: the Operational Value of Italian GSE

In the military and defence sector, Aviogei (specialising in the design and manufacture of airport ground support equipment, or GSE) has counted a number of institutional customers, aerospace manufacturers and international armed forces among its clients over the years:

Lockheed Martin (F-35 / JSF programme): One of its most significant industrial customers. Aviogei was selected to develop and manufacture the special self-propelled crane intended for the maintenance and handling of components of the F-35 Lightning II multirole fighter, both on land and aboard naval units.

Italian Ministry of Defence / Italian Air Force: A long-standing domestic customer for the supply of tactical loaders—including heavy cargo loaders and platforms for biocontainment/medevac—special-purpose stairs, tractors and vehicles supporting logistics operations at bases such as Cameri (home to the F-35 FACO), Sigonella, Gioia del Colle and Ghedi.

NATO: Direct supply and support of logistics and cargo vehicles for Alliance operations and bases, compliant with STANAG standards.

Foreign air forces:

FMV / Swedish Air Force (Sweden): Use of K-loader platforms and airport support vehicles.

Spanish Air and Space Force: Equipment deployed in support of operations at several military air bases, including Torrejón, Getafe and Cuatro Vientos.

US Armed Forces / F-35 partner nations: Lifting equipment and GSE associated with the global JSF fleet maintenance contract.
