ELT Group at the "Berlin Security Conference" (November 3-4)

European industrial cooperation as a driver of strategic sovereignty

ELT Group is taking part in the "Berlin Security Conference" (BSC), one of Europe’s leading forums dedicated to security and defence, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening Europe’s technological and industrial base through cooperation in major multinational programmes—an essential element in ensuring the continent’s strategic sovereignty. By participating in the Berlin conference, ELT Group also underscores its close ties with Germany, where it has been active for over four decades through ELT Group Deutschland in Meckenheim and a representative office in Berlin.

In a landscape marked by increasingly complex, multidomain threats, Europe’s ability to develop critical technologies, preserve sovereign industrial expertise and cooperate within shared programmes is a decisive factor in ensuring freedom of action, resilience and operational superiority.

One of the most significant examples of this cooperation is the Eurofighter programme, one of Europe’s foremost industrial and technological initiatives in the defence sector. In this context, ELT Group contributes as a co-design authority through the EuroDASS consortium to the development and evolution of the Praetorian Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS), a key component of the aircraft’s survivability and operational superiority.

In the space domain, ELT Group is reaffirming its commitment to developing space-based Electronic Intelligence capabilities, with solutions designed to collect and analyse electromagnetic data in orbit—an area of growing importance for European security and defence. This includes SCORPIO, the Group’s first Electronic Intelligence payload, capable of intercepting, identifying and geolocating terrestrial electromagnetic sources from space, further strengthening ELT Group’s position in Space EW.

A further focus will be Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), now regarded as a central element of multidomain operations. Integrating cyber and electromagnetic capabilities makes it possible to achieve information superiority, protect critical infrastructure and safeguard armed forces’ freedom of action in increasingly contested environments. Modern platforms’ growing reliance on sensors, networks, datalinks and communications systems makes the electromagnetic domain an indispensable strategic factor for European security.

Through its participation in the "Berlin Security Conference", ELT Group renews its commitment to supporting the development of a more integrated, innovative and technologically sovereign European defence, contributing to the capabilities that will enable Europe to address the security challenges of the future.
