India: fleet modernization in the light of a new strategic doctrine

New Dheli, India - Defence Ministry intends to resort to an upgrade for the Mig-29, the Mirage 2000, the Mig-21, the Il-78 and the Mi-17

Indian Air Force would be developing a new operational doctrine and the launched modernization process would be part of such theoretical evolution. Before acquiring new multirole light fighters and starting mass production of the LCA, Indian Defence Ministry intends to begin to upgrade several aircraft.
