Southwest Airlines: USD 86 m profits in the fourth quarter of 2005

New York, Usa - The carrier said it in a note

The first US low-cost carrier, Southwest Airlines, announced to have reported, in the fourth quarter of 2005, profits for USD 86m, with a +54%, compared to the same period 2004, that is 10 cents per share more than 2004. In the fourth quarter 2004, Southwest had reported profits for USD 56m or 7 cents per share.
