FIREMEN'S STRIKE GROUNDS FLIGHTS AT FIJI AIRPORT

FIJI ISLANDS, A strike by firemen at Fiji airport due to a dispute over the sacking of 12 union members is grounding flights at Fiji airport today. "We have written to the authorities to say that no aircraft should be allowed to land at Nadi", said Fiji Public Service Association (FPSA) general secretary Rajeshwar Singh. Nine international flights were expected to land at the airport today.
