CATHAY DEFERS NEW SERVICE NEW YORK-HONG KONG

HONG KONG, Cathay Pacific is to postpone the inauguration of the new service from New York to Hong Kong, scheduled for Septemeber 1 to next year, owing to weakening demand and pilots' industrial action. United Airlines is suspending its 747-400 nonstop service between the two cities.
