CHINA TO PRODUCE SMALL SATELLITES

PEKING, China has opened its first state-owned satellite manufacturing plant in Beijing to build six to eight small commercial satellites a year for such purposes as mobile communications or environmental monitoring. The new company was named Aerospace Dongfanghong Satellite Co.
