BOEING GETS FAA APPROVAL FOR BUINESS JET WING EXTENSIONS

SEATTLE, FAA has granted "Supplemental Type Certificate" approval for Aviation Partners Boeing's "blended winglets", upward-swept extensions to airplane wings currently offered on the Boeing Business Jet (BBJ). Boeing said it will now offer blended winglets as standard equipment on the BBJ and this translates into approximately 300 nautical miles of additional range with same fuel and payload.
