US helicopter crashes in Afghanistan

14 soldiers injured

A Boeing Vertol CH-47 Chinook twin engined helicopter crashed during a landing attempt near Khost, a town in the eastern part of the country. On board there were 24 army men of the famous 101 Airborne Division; 14 men were injured but none seriously. At the moment there are no other information concerning the causes of the accident.
