Bacterium on a Turin-Paris flight

Turin, Italy - Legionella pneumophila bacterium found during a control

Yesterday the Legionnaires' disease bacterium has been found on an airplane at the airport of Turin bound to Paris. Legionella pneumophila organism cause lung infection, sometimes even bad pneumonia and it lives into rivers. It was found on board during some security and sanitary inspections instructed by the Turin prosecutor’s office. Prosecutor Raffaele Guariniello started an inquiry.
