ISRAEL: BEN-GURION AIRPORT TO BUY NEW RADAR SYSTEM

ISRAEL, The new $9 million radar system, produced by Raytheon, will be supplied and installed within 18 months. It will permit to control ground traffic and taxiing aircraft. The airport recorded a 9.37 percent rise in international traffic over the year 2000, compared to 1999. International and domestic takeoffs and landings went up 5.83 percent.
