Turkey: 120-hour truce agreed with the US
It will facilitate the evacuation of Kurdish fighters from the security area
An agreement was reached between Turkey and the United States for the 120-hour ceasefire in Syria. During this time, agreed after the meeting between the Turkish leader Erdogan and the American vice president Mike Pence (see AVIONEWS), the United States will facilitate the evacuation of Kurdish fighters from the security area of about 30 km agreed with Ankara. America has made it known that the sanctions imposed on Turkey will end as soon as the offensive is finally concluded (see AVIONEWS).
Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte asked Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday to interrupt the attacks during a rather heated telephone conversation.
The Kurdish accusations in Ankara continue to use unconventional weapons such as "white phosphorus and napalm" which have also affected numerous children now hospitalized with severe burns. Amnesty International said that Turkey and Syrian allied militants have committed serious "war crimes".
