Death Kobe Bryant: wife sues helicopter company
"Reckless pilot to fly with poor visibility"
In Los Angeles, the widow of NBA basketball champion Kobe Bryant has sued the company owner of the Sikorsky S-76B helicopter, registration N72EX, which crashed a month ago due to poor visibility causing the death of all nine people on board (see AVIONEWS). According to the player's wife, the pilot, also deceased, was imprudent and negligent, deciding to take off the rotary wing machine despite the difficult weather conditions. The company was only allowed to fly in optimal situations. The memorial in honor of Kobe and his daughter, with the presence of 20 thousand people, including many VIPs, was held yesterday in the Lakers arena, Staples Center in Los Angeles.
