Russia starts construction of naval vessels
The start-up order blatantly given by Putin at the "Army-2021" forum -VIDEO
It was evident, as usual, the order to start works given in video link to "Army 2021" by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who officially started the construction of new ships for the national Navy. The start was given at the same time to the shipbuilding company JSC PO Sevmas -which operates in the Severodvinsk shipyard, in the White Sea-, to the National Defense shipyard in Saint Petersburg, and to Amur Shipbuilding Plant PJSC -builder operating in the Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in the far east of the Russian territory.
The head of State did not add any significant details, rather focusing on both the great potential of the national naval industry and the Russian Navy, which will increase its capabilities with the arrival of two more modern ships, four submarines and two nuclear missile carriers.
The start, as we said, was given in the great context of the "Army 2021" International Military Technical Forum underway (August 22-28) at the Patriot Expo on the Kubinka air base, Alabino military training camp, in the Moscow region. In his speech, Putin also stressed that despite the pandemic, Russian industry is respecting its international contractual obligations in terms of defense supplies.
