BermudAir, Bermuda’s hometown airline, has become a new A-220 customer following the order of 10 A-220/300 aircraft, marking the first ever Airbus order for the carrier. The order was included in the Airbus order book in March as an undisclosed order.

Unveiled during "Farnborough Airshow" (July 20-24), the addition of this aircraft will enhance BermudAir’s fleet, offering new possibilities for route development and new destinations and becoming a new region of operations for the A-220.

The A-220/300 will feature a 135-seat three-class layout and will allow BermudAir to unlock non-stop routes and connect Atlantic and Caribbean destinations directly with scheduling flexibility. 

Combining the longest range, lowest fuel consumption, the A-220 is the most modern airliner in its size category, carrying between 100 up to 160 passengers on flights of up to 3,600 nautical miles (6,700 km). At the end of June 2026, 526 units had been delivered to more than 25 operators worldwide. The model historical order book stands at more than 1,100 orders, as of the end of June 2026.

flynas, Saudi Arabia's leading low-cost carrier, has agreed to acquire five additional A-330/900 aircraft and 20 additional A-321neo airplanes from Airbus. The agreement further strengthens the strategic partnership and supports the airline's continued expansion across domestic, regional and long-haul markets.

The latest order increases flynas’ total commitment for the A-330neo to 20 aircraft and brings its total commitment for the A-321neo to 56 airplanes. With these additions, flynas continues to expand its all-Airbus fleet, bringing its total firm commitment to aircraft to 235.

It currently operates a fleet of 67 Airbus aircraft, comprising two A-330/300s, four A-320ceos and 61 A-320neos. The airline continues to expand its network in response to growing demand for air travel in Saudi Arabia and beyond, supporting the Kingdom’s aviation growth ambitions..

Powered by the latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, the A-330neo is designed to fly up to 8,100 nautical miles / 15,000 kilometres non-stop and reduces fuel burn, CO2 emissions and operating cost by 25% compared to previous-generation aircraft.
