French airplanes without fuel nearby Palermo

Palermo, Italy - Emergency landing on a naval air station

Yesterday two French pilots on board of two military airplanes were caught without fuel off the Sicily coast. The coastguard answered to their alarm sending two motor patrol boats from Palermo and other two from Terrasini. The two aircraft were going to Punta Raisi Airport for emergency landing, but then they reached a naval air station after 10 minutes and the all clear was given.
