JAPANESE COMPANIES TO JOIN B747X PROJECT

TOKYO, According to the japanese newspaper "Nihon Keizai" three japanese companies, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki, Fuji, are in talks with Boeing Co. to join the superjumbo passenger jet B747X making. The three industries would pay up to half of the $3,49 billion development cost of the jet. Mitsubishi could build the main wings for the 522-seat passenger jet.
