Australian Air Force has selected the Airbus A-330 MRTT (Multi-Role Tanker Transport) as its new air tanker in order to replace the Boeing 707s already in service. The European Eads group will provide 5 airplanes by 2007 while their overhaul will be warranted by Qantas, which already operates with the A-330s for its own commercial activities.
