Viktor Dobrovolsky, director of the food institute providing meals to astronauts, has announced yesterday a sort of "Inflation" on the prices of the "Space" food, which would have growth, in a year, a nice 50%, due to the increase of the cost of both natural products used for the rations and in tests and analyses they need. Last year, a cosmonaut's daily ration in space cost about 11,000 rubles...
