Patna airport risks closure

Delhi, India - Runways must be reduced and obstacles removed

Airport Authority of India (AAI) has declared that Patna airport runways are currently unusable because of obstructions on aircraft approach funnel. Moreover, the AAI has reduced the length of the two runways: the first will be reduced to 1141m from 1677, while the second will be reduced from 1820m to 1289. This will surely damage the airport, since medium-to-large aircraft need longer runways...
