Only 4 days to sanitize and secure employees
Airbus announces today on March 17 that it has ordered the temporary suspension of production and assembly activities at its French and Spanish sites for the next four days. This is to allow itself the time necessary to implement all those strict sanitary and safety measures in response to the outbreak of the coronavirus, and according to the latest provisions of the governments of the two countries.
"We are making our best to also support our employees pressed by the closure of schools and kindergartens, providing them with maximum flexibility to deal with the situation. This includes the introduction of the home office where possible, ensuring the same the continuity of Airbus' operations to meet customer commitments and in compliance with national regulations", according to a note issued by the industry.
