ITA Airways: interest from Delta Airlines and Air France-Klm
Joint expression of interest on the Mise table, then opening of the data room

The US air carrier Delta Airlines and the French-Dutch Air France-Klm have formalized a joint expression of interest to acquire the majority of the flag carrier ITA Airways, thanks to the support of an international investment fund.
The offer was received by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and is in addition to those already presented by Msc-Lufthansa, and a third made by an international fund that invested in the most important low-cost companies in the world. In this way the privatization of the Italian airline enters into full swing.
Tomorrow the Ministry of Economy will choose the two advisors, financial and legal, which later will assess the adequacy of the expressions of interest for the acquisition of ITA Airways. Once selected, the executive will open the data room. Finally, the acquisition offer will be submitted to the national and European antitrust authorities, which will assess the impact of the alliance on competition.
