Australia: military helicopter training

Joint "Talisman Saber 2023" exercise with the United States

The "Talisman Saber 2023" military exercise (from 19 to 22 July) of the Australian Defense Force (ADF) will start tomorrow, in which helicopters and personnel of the armed forces will participate. The training will take place in the skies over the cities of Newcastle and Williamtown and represents an opportunity to improve interoperability between the armed forces of the United States and Australia.

"The exercise this year will be the tenth and largest in history. This is a routine activity. Citizens and the community will not be alarmed if they see or hear military helicopters and vehicles carrying weapons. Training includes aircraft Australian and American military who will fly day and night at low altitudes in urban areas". This "is essential to keeping Australia's military capability high", said an Army spokesman.
