Poland will receive Apache helicopters

US Congress grants green light for sale of 96 aircraft

In the past few hours, the United States Congress has approved the sale to Poland of 96 AH-64E Apache military attack helicopters manufactured by the Boeing company. The American Government had validated the sale at the end of August, but only the green light from Parliament was missing. The common goal of Washington and Warsaw is to strengthen the armed forces on the eastern European border, the front closest to the Russo-Ukrainian war.

"We have the consent of the United States Congress for the sale to Poland of 96 helicopters, together with radar and armaments. We are now proceeding with price negotiations. Until the procedures are finalized, and the procured helicopters, will not be delivered to the Poland, but the US Army will supply us with Apaches from their own reserves", announced the Polish Defense Minister, Mariusz Blaszczak, via a post published on the social network "X" (formerly "Twitter").
