Russia-Ukraine: US will send more armaments

Biden: "Abrams tanks will arrive in Kiev next week"

After participating in the United Nations Security Council, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met American President Joe Biden at the White House in recent hours. The Kiev head of state also saw American political, military and business leaders, as well as members of the Ukrainian community in the United States. On the occasion, Washington promised Ukraine the supply of further armaments.

"I am counting on the good judgment of the United States Congress: there is no alternative. Zelensky, the American people, the Democrats and the Republicans, understand what Ukraine is fighting for, something that generations of Americans have stepped up to protect and preserve: freedom, liberty and sovereignty. The Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine next week. We stand beside you and we will stand beside you", Biden said.

Zelensky echoed this: "If Ukraine fell, half of Europe would run the risk of falling into Moscow's sphere of influence". Previously, Russia had a long list of countries to destroy, but now "Putin is forced to humiliate himself instead of dictating the conditions of the world", asking for weapons from North Korea and Iran. "This demonstrates its obvious weakness". In these hours the Ukrainian leader is in Canada, for a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who promised: "We will continue to stand by Kiev for as long as necessary".
