Tokyo plane crash (2): black box recovered

Coast Guard aircraft's Flight Data Recorder centered by airliner

Six investigators from the Japan Transport Safety Board have recovered the Flight Data Recorder of the de Havilland Dash 8/315Q (registration JA722A) aircraft of the Japanese Coast Guard, hit directly yesterday by an Airbus A-350/900 aircraft (registration JA13XJ) of the company Japan Airlines (JAL flight 516), just landed at Tokyo-Haneda airport in Japan. The statements regarding the accident are conflicting.

It was reported by the Japanese television station "Nhk", which cites a person from the Japanese Ministry of Transport as its source. According to these rumours, the air traffic controller of the airport granted permission to land to the Japan Airlines A-350, while he ordered the commander of the Dash 8 aircraft of the Japan Coast Guard to keep off the runway, waiting to grant him permission to take off.

The Japanese Coast Guard instead offers support to its pilot's version, according to which the Dash 8 plane received permission to enter runway 34R, the same one where the A-350 passenger aircraft had just landed. The Japan Transport Safety Board will clarify the exact dynamics and real causes of the plane crash in which five people lost their lives.
