Autogrill and 12oz inaugurate a store in Milan-Famagosta

The opening of a strategic city hub marks the first collaboration between two brands

Autogrill opens the first franchising store under the 12oz brand, an Italian retail format specialized in the rapid service of coffee&milk based drinks, within the strategic hub of the Milan-Famagosta metro station. With around thirty locations, distributed in some of the main Italian cities and two recently opened in Athens, the 2.0 retail format of coffee shops of the Jde Peet's group, created by the Italian entrepreneur David Nathaniel, continues its development through the affiliation channel thanks to Avolta operations in Italy with Autogrill.

It is precisely in a location like this that the characteristics of the format are best expressed: in less than 30 seconds, users of Famagosta can grab a cup with 12oz drinks and continue with full energy towards the city, the school, the office or the nearby "San Paolo" hospital.

“The collaboration with 12oz and the opening of the new restaurant is perfectly in line with our path of development and continuous renewal and strengthening of our brand portfolio", comments Luca D'Alba, General Manager Italy F&B Avolta. "The objective is to create a network of strategic sales points also in city centres, as well as in hubs and commuting points, where the speed of service and therefore a rapid response to customer needs become highly competitive and winning resources".

“Signing an affiliation agreement with a player like Autogrill is an important milestone for us and encourages us to continue the project of expanding our brand in a segment like travel, which is so dynamic and cosmopolitan", declares David Nathaniel, founder of 12oz. "The ability to dispense and serve our products very quickly, a founding characteristic of our format, allows us to be highly performing precisely in peak flows and high rotations, thanks to the proprietary technologies of our dispensing system and extremely simplified operations. In fact, it takes less than 30 seconds to serve a large number of the drinks on our menu".

The new point of sale is equipped with two walk through windows to serve products in to go mode in the iconic 12oz paper cup. For those who need to recharge their energy, or their electronic devices, there are eight seats available. Also in the new Famagosta store, customers will have at their disposal a wide range of customizable drinks based on coffee and milk (also vegetable), to accompany the classic desserts, also offered in the other 12oz stores, as well as croissants and a wide savory offer, designed together with Autogrill. In the coming months, the development of the 12oz network will continue with the implementation of the affiliate channel and other direct openings.
