Italian Enac: DG D'Orsogna visits Airbus headquarters in Toulouse

It continued at the Final Assembly Line of the A-350 aircraft

Institutional visit of the Director General of Enac (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) Alexander D’Orsogna and Deputy Director General Fabio Nicolai at the Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, where today, July 24, they met with the company’s operational management who guided them through the various facilities of the plant.

The Enac delegation was welcomed by Valerio Moro, Head of Airbus Italy, and Bertrand de Lacombe, Head of Regulatory & External Engagement.

After a visit to the Safety Promotion Center, led by Senior Vice President & Head of Aviation Safety Yannick Malinge, Director General D’Orsogna took part in a meeting where the organization and activities of the safety department were presented. The meeting also saw contributions by Laurent Boisson, Head of External Engagement Worldwide, Vincent Lassus, Head Aviation Safety for Airbus Helicopters, and Pascal Combasson, Head of Airworthiness.

Subsequently, Deputy Vice-President Commercial Airbus Corporate Jets, Eric Jullien, escorted the Enac Director General to the Airbus Customer Showroom, while Test Preparation, Realization & Result Analyst Marie Borreau organized a guided tour of the Test Centre Iron Bird.

Director General D’Orsogna expressed his gratitude to Airbus for the kind invitation, following the recent visit of Enac’s leadership to the "Paris Airshow 2025", expressing his appreciation for the standards of excellence at the historic French facility.

He also praised the company’s commitment – among the leading global players in the aeronautical industry– to safety, technological innovation, and sustainability in the sector: core values of the Authority’s mission, in close coordination with ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

The day continued with a visit to the final assembly line of the A-350 aircraft.
