Delta Air Lines plane makes safe landing due to severe turbulence
Of the 275 passengers and 13 crew members, 25 people were injured and taken to hospital

Last night, Delta Air Lines flight DL56 encountered severe turbulence and was forced to make a safe landing at Minneapolis-Saint Paul international airport around 7:45 PM local time. The aircraft, an Airbus A-330/900, had taken off from Salt Lake City international airport, Utah, and was headed to Amsterdam-Schiphol airport.
According to the airline, after landing, medical personnel were called to transport 25 of the injured people to the local hospitals. The plane was carrying 275 passengers and 13 crew members.
The A-330/900 is a wide-fuselage aircraft manufactured by the European giant Airbus, and is part of the A-330 family. The -900 variant has a range of 13,334 kilometres (7,200 nmi) and can carry 287 passengers.
