Aircraft and transport. Delta Air Lines resumes flights to Tel Aviv

The US carrier resumes routes between "JFK" of New York and the airport "Ben Gurion" from September 1st

Delta Air Lines will resume its air connections with Israel starting next September 1st, operating seven weekly flights that will link Tel Aviv's "Ben Gurion" Airport with New York "JFK". The decision comes after the suspension of routes in May, when a missile struck the Israeli airport.

The resumption of flights by an operator of such significance is considered a "vote of confidence" in Israel's tourism market and security. With Delta's return, the Tel Aviv–New York route will be served by four carriers, including El Al, Arkia and United Airlines, confirming the strategic importance of the connection.

Although the number of carriers restoring flights is increasing, there is strong demand that keeps ticket prices high for the holiday period. Conversely, while KLM and Wizz Air are also reactivating their routes to Israel, American Airlines has chosen to suspend its service.
