Alleged drone sighting in Norwegian airspace

Oslo airport operator: "Approaching aircraft placed in holding pattern, temporarily halting takeoffs"

Last night, Oslo-Gardermoen airport, Norway, temporarily suspended some operations following a reported sighting of drones. According to Norwegian press, a Norwegian Air pilot reported seeing three to five UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) while en route to the airport. However, police cannot confirm whether or not they are present in Norwegian airspace.

"One or more aircraft waited in the air until the situation was clarified. No aircraft departed for alternative airports", explained a spokesperson for airport operator Avinor. The airport quickly resumed normal operations.
