Thales’s radio management system selected by Pilatus for a PC-7 military aircraft fleet

With a range of advanced capabilities

Thales’s radio management system ensures enhanced mission performance and reliability.

This new system enhances trainer aircraft with robust, resilient and flexible communication capabilities, tailored to evolving operational requirements of training missions.

This new contract strengthens the partnership between Pilatus and Thales, underscoring their mutual commitment to innovation and excellence in military aviation.

This choice by Pilatus marks a new step for Thales, which, since April 2024, has strengthened its portfolio in the cockpit connectivity and secure communications sector with the acquisition of Cobham Aerospace Communications.

The company's radio management system was chosen for its ability to meet the end-users’ military requirements, as well as for its flexibility (to adapt to several scenarios) and superior reliability compared to traditional technologies.

Its radio management system is distinguished by a range of advanced capabilities, including:

Full compliance with military standards: ensuring seamless integration into the most complex operational environments and the most diverse mission systems.

Proven reliability: designed for mission-critical applications, the system ensures robust, uninterrupted communications, even under the most complex conditions.

Superior flexibility: the system easily adapts to operators’ evolving needs, from training missions or tactical operations.

Pilatus Aircraft Ltd’s choice of the Thales system reflects the Swiss aircraft manufacturer’s confidence in Thales’ expertise in avionics and advanced communication technologies.
