e-GEOS, a company owned by the Italian Space Agency (20%) and Telespazio (80%), part of the Leonardo Group, and Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space Inc. (iQPS), have launched a multi-year collaboration to develop geospatial intelligence solutions.

The agreement aims to develop services capable of rapidly providing information and analysis to support the operational needs of institutions, governments and businesses, for natural emergency management, mining activities and infrastructure monitoring.

 The announcement comes as the global Space industry gathers for "World Space Business Week", where the evolving Earth Observation market and new opportunities enabled by advanced analytics are key topics of discussion. The e-GEOS and iQPS collaboration reflects these broader developments, combining complementary capabilities to deliver innovative solutions.

As part of the collaboration, e-GEOS will distribute, on a non-exclusive basis, data from QPS-SAR constellation to selected users. Similarly, iQPS will distribute, on a non-exclusive basis, radar data from the COSMO-SkyMed constellation of the Italian Space Agency and the Italian Ministry of Defence, for which e-GEOS is the exclusive commercial distributor.

The two companies will also develop value-added solutions based on the integration of COSMO-SkyMed and QPS-SAR data. The complementary orbital architectures of the two constellations will increase acquisition frequency and ensure greater continuity of monitoring as well as wider coverage.

This multi-mission approach will enhance the ability to deliver more comprehensive responses to users’ operational needs, while the collaboration will further strengthen the international presence of e-GEOS and iQPS, opening up new opportunities across global markets.
