USA, Four months after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the makers of machines that detect explosives in airplane luggage has yet to receive an order from the federal government. More than 2,000 bomb-scanning machines need to be installed at the nation's airports by the end of the year to comply with a new law that requires all bags loaded into the belly of a jetliner be screened for explosives.
