Continental Airlines raises fuel surcharge
Washington, USA - USD 5 more each way

After having revoked a fare increase announced last February due to a hike in fuel costs (see AVIONEWS), Continental Airlines has changed its mind again. The fuel surcharge will rise from USD 10 each way to USD 15. The step will be taken in order to recover the expenses due to the ongoing increase of the costs of crude oil, from USD 20 per barrel two years ago to USD 37 today.
