Tehran, Iran - Tested today before Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Iran tested today a missile capable of carrying satellites into space as part of a program to launch a research satellite in the near future. The rocket, called "Kavoshkar 1" ("Explorer-1"), was launched from a new Iranian space center, inaugurated by Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
