Scotland has freed today Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi, former Libyan intelligence agent condemned to life-imprisonment for the Lockerbie terrorist attack, when a bomb exploded on a Boeing 747/121 aircraft (Pan Am flight 103) on December 21, 1988, caused the death of 270 people, 11 of which on the ground.
