Bird-strike forces an Israeli plane to land emergency

The flight was directed from Sofia to Tel Aviv

Flight LY5298 of El Al Israeli airline was forced to make an emergency landing at Sofia airport because of a bird-strike. The plane, a B-737/804, left Sofia at 2:29pm local time towards Tel Aviv, but about 40 minutes after take-off it had to reverse the route and return to the airport of the Bulgarian capital due to a collision with a bird. The plane landed safely and the passengers landed normally....
