Alitalia, Leogrande-Delta meeting
"We are working on a transition agreement"
The meeting between the commissioner of Alitalia, Giuseppe Leogrande and Delta, the US company that renewed the interest in investing 100 million Euros for 10% in the Italian carrier, took place in recent days. The subject of the meeting was the renegotiation of the transatlantic pact.
He participated as representative of the delegation of the American company Roberto Ioriatti, Italian manager, vicepresident transatlantic, responsible for the supervision of the strategies and policies of network and pricing & revenue management as well as the competitive analysis for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India as part of the Delta joint-venture with Air France, Klm and Alitalia. "We are working with Alitalia on a transition agreement that will cover our collaboration on transatlantic flights until 20 May", said Ioriatti. “We are in the final stages. But the agreement has not been finalized yet. For the period from May 21 onwards we will have to discuss a further agreement. Delta is interested in continuing its collaboration with Alitalia, we have been partners for almost 20 years".
