Air France: 1510 fewer workers in 2022
The plan was presented yesterday to the unions
The air transport crisis also affects French carriers. By the end of 2022 Air France will cut 1510 jobs. The plan was presented on February 27 to the unions who pointed out that the transalpine company until December employed more than 41,000 units and now intends to increase air links but decrease staff: in 2019 Air France recorded a net profit in drop of 31% and shares fell 7.17% yesterday. The layoffs will concern land workers while 320 more hires are expected for commanders. It should be noted that exits will not be forced, but there will be incentives to leave, to retire and to change companies.
