Airplanes. British carrier Flybe has gone bankrupt

The epidemic emergency in an already suffering airline is fatal

The coronavirus has claimed a new victim: the British company Flybe, which has left its planes ashore and filed for bankruptcy after a rescue attempt by the London government with a £ 100 million bridging loan.

An injection of liquidity highly contested by the competing companies that reported the maneuver to the European Union as a disguised form of State aid. A situation that closely resembled that of Alitalia (see AVIONEWS).

From tonight the British Civil Aviation Authority has announced that the airline has entered controlled administration, that all its air connections are cancelled and has invited travellers not to go to the airport.
